People have said that the series is slow to start which I agree with but in that time we learn so much of the characters back stories and we learn more about the Homo Nosferatu Vampiris. The brothers contact Carlos is a vampire himself here and the black soldier veteran of the Vietnam War has already faced vampires before unlike in the film. The main characters appear to be younger than they are in the film. The series also has several differences with the film but I feel they are all good for the series.

We learn a lot more about the Aztec temple that was seen in the ending of the original film and about the 'Vampires' themselves. This series is great as it really expands on the mythology of the Homo Nosferatu Vampiris. I am a massive fan of the original From Dusk Till Dawn so when I found out that they have started a series on it, I had to buy it. I rarely give series 5 out of 5 stars but I had to make an exception for this.
